Ai3X was built out of frustration and purpose—to fix a system that overwhelms, confuses, and fails too many. We’ve lived the stress of training without guidance and watched capable pilots fall behind—not from lack of talent, but lack of structure. So we reimagined how pilots train: combining deep cockpit experience with smart design and learning science. The result is Ai3X—a native iOS app that helps you train smarter, not harder. It cuts through the noise, adapts to your goals, and puts clarity at your fingertips. Because pilot training shouldn’t feel like guesswork. It should feel like progress.

We are two active pilots flying on the A320 plus one designer and one senior iOS developer. Together we form the team of Ai3X
Philipp Haßdenteufel
Founder & CEO
Philipp flies the A320/A321 as a First Officer for a German holiday carrier. During his years as a Training First Officer, he conducted lots of initial training for new hires and upgrade candidates—consistently encountering the same issue: a lack of clear, effective, and pilot-focused training tools. Driven to change that, he taught himself iOS development and began building the foundation for Ai3X. Today, while still overseeing product development, he leads Ai3X as CEO—on a mission to make pilot training smarter, sharper, and built for the real world.
Peter Thees
Co-Founder & TRI/TRE A320/A321
Peter is an active A320/A321 Line Training Captain and highly experienced TRI/TRE with several thousand training hours. As a former Training Manager, he led an entire training department overseeing all initial and recurrent training—whether in the classroom, the simulator, or the air. With decades of hands-on experience, Peter brings deep technical insight and real-world perspective to Ai3X. Often called a walking encyclopedia, he was immediately drawn to the vision of redefining pilot training—by setting politics aside and putting pilots first.
Kai Dreyer
Co-Founder & Senior Interaction Designer
Kai is the creative force behind Ai3X’s user experience and visual identity. With a background in strategic design and years of agency experience, he led UX projects across industries—always focused on turning complexity into clarity. Building on this foundation, he took on the role of Head of Communication at a climate action startup, where he sharpened his ability to align product, messaging, and design. Kai shaped Ai3X from the ground up—translating its mission into an interface as sharp, focused, and intuitive as the cockpit itself.
Federico Ramos
Senior iOS Developer
Federico is a freelance iOS and macOS developer based in Berlin with a background in network engineering and a deep focus on Apple’s ecosystem. With years of Swift and SwiftUI expertise, he writes clean, efficient, and scalable code that powers Ai3X behind the scenes. Ambitious and highly skilled, Federico turns product ideas into polished features—working closely with design to ensure every interaction feels just right. With a passion for lean architecture and smooth performance, he builds the foundation that keeps Ai3X fast, stable, and always ready for departure.
